Rory Fordyce

Rory Fordyce

Rory has over 30 years of experience as a qualified lawyer. He trained and qualified in Lincoln’s Inn where he was a partner for eight years. He has also had his own practice for ten years and has more recently been a partner of a prominent London firm for fourteen years where he led the Commercial Property departments firmwide for many years.

He specialises in all types of property work, acting for a wide range of clients including private individuals, partnerships, corporates, commercial developers, land owners, care home operators, housing associations and local authorities and consortium groups.

Rory has extensive knowledge and experience of property sale and acquisition, land development, securitisation, office and retail development, land assembly and infrastructure, conditional contracts, pre lets and occupational arrangements, civic projects and European procurement procedures, mixed use and mixed tenure schemes and affordable housing.

He also has experience in and a broad knowledge of construction and planning matters including, vat on property issues, building contracts and warranties, party wall issues, compulsory purchase and enforcement proceedings, planning applications and procedures, judicial review, planning agreements, sustainability issues, neighbour disputes, environmental and contamination issues and rights of light disputes.
